Packing Checklist


Passport and Tickets
Copies of your passport stashed in other luggage

Money
Dollars and Egyptian Pounds – which we will get at the airport, traveler’s checks, and an ATM card. Check with your bank regarding access overseas

Travel Insurance Documents
Make sure you carry your proof of coverage and 24 hour emergency phone numbers with you at all times

Sunscreen
High factor sunscreen: Do not buy it in Egypt. Bring enough along for the entire trip

Re-hydration Sachets
Buy or order from sport supply store or camping outfitters. These contain salts, which when mixed with water replaces fluids and minerals lost through dehydration and diarrhea

Water purifying tablets

Diarrhea and all of your necessary medications in abundance

Medical history records, in case you are in an accident. This is especially important if you have a medical condition or require certain medications

Antibacterial Hand Wash or Sanitizer Gel and bags and bags of antibacterial handy-wipes

Water Bottle

Small Mag-light flashlight and batteries

Bug Spray
DEET or equivalent

Warm clothes for evenings and desert; warm fleece, scarf, sweaters and light jackets, sun glasses, hats, walking or sport shoes and sandals, swim suits

Three sets of international travel power adapters
Egypt uses two pronged, rounded plugs with 220 volts

Mobile Phone
You can buy Egyptian Phones or Egyptian SIM cards and credit are cheap and readily available. You must have an unlocked mobile phone.
